William Cleather. 1855, served in the Crimea, being present at the capture of Kertch (Turkish Medal). 1861, April 1st Dep. Asst. Supt. of Stores, Mil. Store Dept. 1870, Feb. 12, Asst. Commiss. Control Dept. 1874, Apr. 29, Dep. Commiss., Control (afterwards Ordnance Store) Dept. 1879, served in Zulu war, mentioned in despatches (Medal and clasp). 1880, Mar. 24, ret. h.p. 1885, Feb. commuted his retirement pay.
